Materials
Start with PLA. Move to another material when you need heat resistance, impact strength or flex.

Sandable and vapor-smoothable. Use an enclosure. ASA holds up better outdoors.

FAQ
Return the spool to its sealed bag with desiccant. PETG and TPU absorb moisture quickly, so a dry box helps.
Dry the filament, lower the nozzle temperature by 5 to 10 °C and enable retraction. If it persists, check the nozzle for wear.
Any FDM printer that takes 1.75 mm filament works. Use an enclosure for ABS and ASA, and a direct-drive extruder for TPU.
